release notes week commencing 06/05/2026
It’s been awhile since we last posted, but we’ve made some welcome changes to the app. This is stuff that only (mostly!) affects likelike’s admins, but you’ll appreciate the changes as well!
a friendly rundown of everything we shipped, in plain english.
for everyone using likelike
- report a message you don’t like. spotted a creepy or rude message in a mixer chat? tap it and tell us. our team gets a ping and takes a look. safer chats behind the scenes.
- we tightened the locks on messages so only the people in a conversation can read them, and nobody can sneakily edit a message after sending it (you can still mark things as read, of course).
- likes are private. the “who liked who” list is now only visible to the two people involved. no peeking from the outside.
for the admin team
- reported messages inbox. a new list in the admin area shows every report that’s come in, who reported it, what was said, and whether it’s still open, resolved, or dismissed. triage in one place.
- find users fast. the manage users page got a search box, status filters (active / flagged / blocked / deleted), and sortable columns so you can jump straight to the person you need.
- find mixers fast. same treatment for manage mixers — search by title, filter by live / scheduled / ended, and sort however you like.
under the hood (the boring-but-important stuff)
- stricter database rules. we audited every table and made sure each action (read, write, update) checks who you are first. examples: ** only logged-in users can write to audit logs and feedback. ** you can only post a message in a mixer if you’ve actually joined it. ** qr code scans can only be logged against your own account.
Hopefully all those changes are only going to make likelike safer for everyone, but as always, any new features or functionality you’re looking for, get in touch at natalie@likelike.app!
be kind, take care of yourselves, we’re only human! <3
